Assistant Professor


Position Summary

The Department of Statistics in the College of Arts and Sciences at Indiana University invites applications for a faculty position in the area of data science at the rank of tenure-track assistant professor.

Applicants should have an active research program that complements the department’s existing strengths in machine learning, spatial statistics, and Bayesian inference, as well as a commitment to teaching excellence.

Created in 2006, IU’s Department of Statistics currently offers both graduate and undergraduate degree programs and maintains the Indiana Statistical Consulting Center. The usual teaching load for core faculty members is 3 courses per year.
