(3rd Year Fiction)Ashley Rutter, in her third year at IU, had the honor of being the Booth Tarkington Thesis-Year Fellow. In that time, she served as one of the MFA student representatives, and also worked as an associate fiction editor for the Indiana Review. Her editorial experience also extends to such magazines as Mid-American Review and Prairie Margins.
In the past, she’s been awarded the Jean Shepard Literary Award, the William E. Wilson Fellowship in Fiction, and the Darrel Burton Fellowship in Creative Writing, along with the Summer Writing Conference Fiction Scholarship. Her work has appeared in Hayden’s Ferry Review and the Beloit Fiction Journal.
