Danit Brown is the author of Ask for a Convertible (Pantheon, 2008), a collection of linked short stories that received a 2009 American Book Award and was named a Washington Post Best Book of 2008 . Her fiction has appeared in Story, Glimmer Train, StoryQuarterly, and One Story, among others. Her stories have also been featured on National Public Radio's Hanukkah Lights and anthologized in The Habit of Art: Best Stories from the Indiana University Fiction Workshop (Indiana University Press, 2005). She received the 2003 American Literary Review Fiction Award and was finalist for the 2003-04 Koret Foundation Young Writer on Jewish Themes Award.

Current Position: Associate Professor, Albion College.
