(2015 Graduate, Poetry)

Shayla Lawson is a native of Lexington, Kentucky. She recently released a collection of ephemera, A Speed Education in Human Being through Sawyer House Press (2013). Her work has appeared or is forthcoming in Anti-, inter|rupture, Sou'Wester, pluck!, Winter Tangerine Review, and TRACE Magazine. She is a member of the Affrilachian Poets, and Creative Writing faculty at Kentucky Governor's School for the Arts. She has also been, at times, an architect, a Dutch housewife, and a really good cook.
