HIBA KRISHT
(2nd Year Fiction) Hiba Krisht is from Beirut. Previously, she taught logic and ethics at the American University of Beirut and earned an MA in philosophy by integrating talking elephants into her thesis. She has served as Fiction Editor of Rusted Radishes, the Beirut literary and arts review, and Layout Editor of Mideast Mirror daily. She loves Nietzsche, awkward humor, Levantine cuisine, modal quantification, and scarves. Her fiction appears in Hayden’s Ferry Review, the Evergreen Review, the Banyan Tree, and Rusted Radishes. She was the 2012 recipient of the Jane Foulkes Malone Fellowship from Indiana University, and the 2013 recipient of the JoAnn Athanas Memorial Award in literature from the National Society of Arts and Letters.
