KEITH LEONARD
(1st Year Poetry) Keith Leonard comes from Massachusetts, and earned an undergraduate degree from Westfield State College, majoring in English and Secondary Education. At Westfield State, Keith completed a senior honors thesis on Cognitive Literary Theory and the Literary Universal, earning him Commonwealth Honors and the Bette B. Roberts Outstanding Student Award. He has attended the Salem State Summer Poetry Seminar (2007) and ventured abroad to Oxford University (2006), where he studied British perspectives on American poetry. Keith’s interests include the experience of language, language of experience, experimental forms, and seaside poetics. His poems have appeared or are forthcoming in Quarterly West, Sentence, Georgetown Review, Naugatuck River Review, and Red Mountain Review.
