(2nd Year Poetry) Morgan Adams was born and raised in Lexington, Kentucky, in an ancient two-story brick shotgun house with creaking floors. She earned her B.A. in English from Berea College, where she also served as editor-in-chief of Carillon Magazine, the college’s student-run literary journal. Much of her writing revolves around mythology—specifically, personal legends and tales starring a pantheon of family, friends, and distant ancestors. Through her poetry and other works, she attempts to create dialogue with memory.
