MFA Department Fall Faculty Reading, featuring poet Maurice Manning.
Oct 23 2009
7:00 p.m.
Weather permitting, the reading will take place outside 'round the campfire. You might want to dress in layers.(for details see your email)

Why? Excepting the Upadhyah's special eggplant and chickpeas, the MFA faculty readings might be considered the highlight of the program. It's not often we get students and faculty together off campus for things like this. In fact, it's only happened twice in the past two years. But it's only as fun as the people who come! If you are not convinced, then consider this: Maurice will sing each of his poems in the key of B# if someone can accompany him with a banjo. Volunteers?

Who? All MFA Students, Faculty, and significants are welcome!

Where? Weather permitting, the reading will take place outside 'round the campfire. You might want to dress in layers.(for details see your email)

What else? Thanks to our money tree in BH 442, there will be a modest smorgasboard of snacky and non-alcholic stuff.

Also, anyone interested in pumpkin carving (or challenging Raleigh Lee) is welcome to participate in the Second Annual Pumpkin Carving Contest. Pumpkins will be provided, but they're sure to go fast.
