Tony Hoagland teaches at the University of Houston. His next book, Unincorporated Persons In The Late Honda Dynasty, will be published in January 2010. His previous collection, What Narcissism Means To Me, was a National Book Critics Circle Award Finalist. His work has been recognized by the James Laughlin Award, the Mark Twain Award, and other academies. A book of prose about poetry, Real Sofistakashun, was published by Graywolf Press in 2006. Robert Pinsky has described Hoagland as a” restless, pungent, intellectually ambitious and slyly colloquial poet”
