Editing MIDI tracks: Edit Windows and Edit Menu

The following set of video tutorials will walk you through the steps of editing MIDI tracks in your Digital Performer project. A good knowledge of editing techniques can add another dimension to the musical expressivity of your project. In addition to adding such common musical items as repetition, imitation, dynamics, and tempo changes, data embedded in your MIDI tracks can precisely control timbre and other functions of your instruments. This is a resource that is often underutilized, but one that takes full advantage of the more expressive capabilities of sequencing. Using sequencing in partnership with sound design will make the best musical use of this amazing technology.
