To help expand national access to instruction in Central Asian languages, CeLCAR works with IU's Department of Central Eurasian Studies and the Committee of Institutional Cooperation (CIC) to offer distance education courses in Pashto, Uzbek, Mongolian, and other Central Asian Languages.
There are several ways to register for these language courses: students at CIC institutions can register at their home institutions for distance classes at IU.

Online Language Courses
Indiana University and CeLCAR are developing online language courses for Central Asian languages. These are instructor-led courses that will bear full university credit, open for enrollment worldwide. The languages of Dari and Pashto were tested in summer of 2017 and are now available, at the introductory level. More languages and levels will follow.

CeLCAR's staff is a wealth of pedagogical education and experience in language instruction and is currently seeking to expand its partnerships and develop materials and provide training for teachers in synchronous and asynchronous distance and online learning of the languages of the Central Asian Region. Both individuals and institutions are encouraged to contact CeLCAR (firstname.lastname@example.org) with their needs and proposals for future workshops and seminars.
